What is BongaCams?
BongaCams offers free sex chat with thousands of amateur and professional performers from all over the world, mostly from Eastern Europe. In the free chat you can enjoy shows without paying a thing. Like what you see? Tip the performer, or go to a paid private chat. BongaCams works with tokens, just like Chaturbate, Cam4 and CamSoda.
Is BongaCams legit or a scam?
BongaCams is trustworthy. If a glitch eats your tokens, or a performer in a private show flat-out refuses to perform, complain within 24 hours and BongaCams will look into it. If you’ve already used part of a package, you get tokens back rather than money. Do watch out for the “dating” ads on the site. They’re usually not real dating, but those ads do help keep BongaCams free.

Surprisingly, the men seem a bit more reserved than the women. Because BongaCams uses live snapshots as thumbnails, you’ll easily find the type you’re looking for.

We’re really excited about this one: the lesbian couples are stunning, and straight and gay couples are there too.
Trans
Not BongaCams’ strongest category, but still bigger than many competitors.
Interface, search and filters
Not the most inspiring design, but not the worst either: a clean overview with straightforward filters and menus. Best of all, the thumbnails are recent snapshots of the actual shows, and hovering over one shows you what’s happening right now. Leave a room and it shrinks to the bottom corner, so you can keep watching while you browse.
The filters are what you’d expect from a big site: language, country, body type, age, ethnicity and lots of categories, plus tags that performers use to describe their show. The search bar only looks up usernames, so stick to the filters. Tip: check the “New” tab. New performers are still building a fan base and often give you more for free.
The tip functions on the model page are easy to use. The big downside is the in-house advertising: without an account, you’ll be interrupted constantly.
Show types on BongaCams
- Free chat: enter any room for free and chat with the performer.
- Private chat: one-on-one with full control, at 60 tokens a minute by default (performers can set their own price). You can type or even talk. Others can still spy on it.
- Full private: nobody can spy, at 90 tokens a minute by default. You can rewatch the recording for as long as the performer keeps her profile.
- Spy show: watch someone else’s private or group show for 15 tokens a minute by default. Only the people in the show can talk to the performer.
- Group chat: a private show you share with other viewers, at 30 tokens a minute each by default.
- Gifts: send a performer a virtual gift. Gifts can’t be refunded.
- Videos: performers sell their own videos.
Is BongaCams cheap or expensive?
Cheap, for tokens. By card in the US, 139 tokens cost $10 and 1,346 cost $74.99: 5.6 to 7.2 cents a token, the lowest of the token sites we’ve checked. PayPal and Skrill start smaller (47 tokens for $3.99) at 5.8 to 8.5 cents, and BongaCams calls crypto its most cost-effective option. Discounts come and go: when we checked, there was 15% off. Payment options and bank statement
Pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Delta), PayPal, Skrill, crypto or a gift card (Walmart, Apple and more). Payments are handled by Epoch and SegpayEU, BongaCams’ authorized payment processors. Any token purchase makes you a Gold member, which unlocks private chats, private messages and cam2cam. BongaCams doesn’t store your transaction details, so billing questions go to the payment provider you used.
Private show prices
By default, a private show costs 60 tokens a minute, a full private 90, a group show 30 and spying 15, although performers can set their own prices. At 5.6 to 8.5 cents a token, a default private works out at roughly $3.30 to $5.10 a minute, billed per second.
Auto top-up: handy, but watch it
Turn on 2-step verification and you can switch on Auto Top-up: whenever your balance drops to a set level, BongaCams automatically buys your last package again. There’s no limit on how often that happens until you switch it off, so keep an eye on it. Regulars who bought by card at least two months ago also get an “Instant buy” button when they’re about to run out, which works up to 10 times in a row.
What we like
The free chat really is free, and the live snapshots make it easy to find the action. If you like Eastern European women or lesbian couples, you’ll love it here. And BongaCams is upfront about its default prices.
What we don’t like
The in-house advertising. And the small token packages cost noticeably more per token than the big ones.
Our verdict
