Is Cam4 cheap or expensive?
Cam4’s tokens aren’t cheap. By card in the US, 50 tokens cost $9.95 and 1,000 cost $172.95, so 17 to 20 cents a token, and every purchase adds a $2.00 transaction fee. PayPal costs the same but gets you 10% fewer tokens. Your first purchase comes with 15% extra tokens, and regulars can ask support for bigger packages with bigger discounts. Payment options and bank statement
Pay by card (Visa, Mastercard) or PayPal. Behind the scenes Cam4 uses processors such as Epoch, SegPay, DialXS (with iDEAL, Bancontact, Giropay, Sofort/Klarna and Dankort) and Commdoo, which lets you pay by phone in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the UK. In the US you can also trade in a gift card from more than 100 brands, though it’s the dearest way: Cam4’s own example gives 100 tokens for a $25 Walmart card. Your statement won’t say Cam4; it shows “GRANITY ENTERTAINMENT”.
Why go Gold?
Gold removes every ad, including video ads on cams, and gives you unlimited private messages, Stealth Mode to watch, tip and chat anonymously, automatic chat translation, a Gold icon in chat and the daily Gold Show. Every month you also get a free Gold Gift to send a performer and a free Boost to push a favorite up the directory. You can also pay for Gold with tokens: 125 a month, about $22 to $25 at card prices.
